Construction Update 7/31/15

Dear Members and Friends,

Please allow me to thank several people who made last night's Tower Club International Exchange such a wonderful success.  200 Members and guests from all over the world, including 3 international embassies, enjoyed sharing life experiences, ideas, and most importantly friendship.  Please join me in congratulating the following people who brought this idea to fruition:  Marcus Koch and his Sister City International organization, Ligia Jamieson whose brilliant idea lead to our evening, and Roman Foster whose efforts truly shined last night.

Now on to our progress.  Demolition of our new member area was completed last week, and framing the new space was the task at hand.  Most of the initial electrical and metal studs were installed and are now ready for sheetrock.  Please see our great progress below:

Dearest Members,

It gives me great excitement to see our members getting involved with our blog.  As of this publishing over 450 people have viewed our posts and pictures.  Surely our top priority of the summer is to share as much information and progress as possible.

Last night the club hosted its monthly "Mega" Member Mixer, with over 200 members crowding in our slightly refurbished main dining room.  I will say this: we really know how to party!  We had truly missed you all during our demolition it was wonderful reconnecting and showing off our new spaces.

Headline: Tower Club Fort Lauderdale Reopens with “Phase 1” Complete

Dear Members,

As you are already aware construction has begun and we are well on our way to “Reinventing” our beloved club. It can truly be said that the life-blood of any club is its members, and we have sure missed seeing you all for the last two weeks!

 I am now pleased to announce that the club will reopen for service tomorrow just in time for lunch. The East side of the club will remain closed for the duration of the summer, we will have access to our Boardrooms, Main Dining Room, and Stranahan Room during this time. Fear not members! We have cut in some windows through our temporary construction walls so you can track our progress when you come to visit.

The renovation project will be completed in 2 Stages, “Phase 1” is now mostly completed. Although our clubhouse will be limited and several fixtures are yet to be installed you will be able to see small changes in our space throughout the summer months. Please note that our normal monthly Member Mixer will take place on July 9th at 6:00pm. The entire Tower Club team looks forward to seeing you on Thursday.
